Jenna Scarsi
took her project “Lights, Camera, Cure” national in five states as a way to raise awareness of diabetes and proper blood glucose self-management in a fun and relaxing setting. Lights, Camera, Cure was a family movie event, which included educational games to teach people in the community about diabetes, as well as a fundraiser for diabetes research.Each event kicked off with an interactive diabetes health
fair and concluded with a screening of a family movie.
All proceeds from the events were donated to local
diabetes nonprofit organizations.
